As a kid, well younger I mean; I hated going to school. It wasn’t that I did poorly in school but it didn’t seem like I was going anywhere in school and it was very boring. Until, I learned that being good at school will definitely benefit in the long run. Knowledge is power I always say. Having a school that provides really strong teachers and has high grades will definitely be a benefit. Having fun in school is also something to note. School shouldn’t be about the worst parts of your childhood but the starting of something great. That’s why the best schools or even teachers try to make learning fun and memorable. Also, schools carrying extra-curricular activities are a great way to start having a little fun in school and even letting some steam off. Always try to have a little fun while in school so you’re not “brain-dead.” But inside the learning environment or a classroom for instance, the teacher should really try to interact with the students and try to make a lesson more enjoyable. These lessons will help us later on in life no matter how boring they are. That’s why I think it’s best to learn as much as you can so that you can be something better later on in life. Why fool around in school and try really hard to get a very low paying job when you could have tried really hard in school and learn as much as you can to get your dream job or a high paying job? Knowledge or a brain is one thing humans have that should not be wasted. Empower yourself with knowledge and you won’t regret it. When you’re in school wondering why I am sitting here listening to a boring lesson, tell yourself knowledge is power and try your hardest. Even if your having a bad day, remember it will get better later on in life. Keep your chin high. #knowlegeispower
I just watched this and I have already learned and opened my mind to this. In my opinion, I feel that having this in your mind would help you in the bad times. To judge whether or not to accept criticism.
To be successful in life is to be a long term thinker. Delay gratification. A perfect example is the Stanford marshmallow experiment. I just heard of this a couple days ago and it is genius. If you think about it, which would be happier: a long term thinker or a short term thinker? Who would do better in life? Who would be better in managing a company’s worth? Before you make your next decision, think about it. You make thousands in one day; do you think one could have been revised?
You know being happy and having a positive attitude will not just make your day better but make your life better. Stay positive and good things will happen. Being negative just brings you down and people around you. So be positive and your day will be a lot easier and stronger.
I always say never judge a book by its cover.
A bunch of bikers had witnessed a dog jump out of a car on the highway and decided to stop traffic to make sure the dog didn’t get hurt. They used their bikes to form a wall across the three lanes of traffic and chased the dog. Eventually, they got the dog back to their owner without any injury. It’s nice to know that not all bikers are like the ones in Sons of Anarchy..
I always thought it was weird we have such big satellites and so many of them. You would think Internet would be like full bars across the whole world but no. Some are used to send signals in space and look at distant galaxies. But who can tell if we are really looking in space or communicating with extraterrestrials. Also I have heard many conspiracy theories that these huge dishes and satellites could change the weather. That is awesome and very frightening. Having someone control the weather instead of nature taking its course, who knows what could happen? Anyway all I am saying is with our advances in technology what are they really used for and why can’t we have full bars or cable around the globe?
SETI: What Are We Looking For?
When we’re searching for extraterrestrial life, what exactly are we looking for? Or listening for? Signals in the noise. Anything that doesn’t match the pattern of nature. Technology, basically. But how? From radio wave signals to time compression, the director of the SETI Institute, Jill Tarter, breaks down the tools of trade in the rigorous science of the modern search for life beyond.
You know this brings me to an idea, having wind turbines incorporated with buildings will maximize space, look nice and create energy all at the same time. They would have businesses or people working in the turbine or it could be a hotel or apartment building. All that would maximize the space and make the turbine have more potential. It would cost a lot to make but in a year or so of production and selling of apartments or something you could be benefiting. All I’m saying what would happen if we thought outside the box?
The Netherlands just keeps one-upping the rest of the world. Recently, a Dutch construction firm installed a solar panel bike lane and then engineers went ahead and made another bike path glow-in-the-dark. Not that we’re keeping score or anything.
Now, the Dutch Windwheel Corporation has plans to build a 570-foot structure in Rotterdam that would be equal parts architectural marvel and green-tech wünderkind. Basically, the project would turn the wind turbine* into a high-tech real-estate development.
Here’s Smithsonian with the science:
The Wind Wheel’s design, made of two massive rings and an underwater foundation, plans to incorporate other green technologies, including solar panels, rainwater capture and biogas creation. The biogas will be created from the collected waste of residents of the 72 apartments and 160 hotel rooms that are planned for the inner ring.
The outer ring is set to house 40 cabins that move along a rail like a roller coaster…

That’s where all the Jordan shoes and apparel money goes. Are Jordan’s really worth it?
In the new Billionaires List Forbes magazine released yesterday, 290 newcomers joined the list, including basketball great, Michael Jordan, 52. He’s now the 513th-richest person in the US with a net worth of an even $1.0 billion. Forbes report below;
The most famous rookie on the billionaires list? Michael Jordan, arguably the greatest basketball player of all time and indisputably the best-paid athlete of all time. Most of his cash comes from Nike payouts on his iconic brand. The Jordan brand grossed an estimated $2.25 billion in 2013, earning his Airness some $90m. But his most valuable asset is his stake in the Charlotte Hornets, worth more than $500m.
When ex-Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer bought the Los Angeles Clippers for a stunning $2 billion, values of all NBA teams skyrocketed, creating three new billionaires. Jordan’s old boss Jerry Reinsdorf, owner of the Chicago Bulls, joined the list with a…

It is ironic she said she wouldn’t fall and she fell. I thought it was funny at first but replayed and hope she was ok. On the other hand she is right about running in snow.
